New Accessories

JENNIFER BEHR
Brooklyn based designer Jennifer Behr started her label in 2005 and has since taken the fashion industry by storm, with her eclectic creations renowned for their unique combination of textures and materials like feather, silks and crystals mixed with leather and studs. Since making her first accessories while studying art history and sculpture in Missouri she has worked for Chanel and done collaborations with big fashion houses such as Diane Von Furstenberg, and recently showed her headpieces along with the current collection of the infamous french fashion house Fendi, led by none other than Karl Lagerfeld.
Jennifer Behrs accessories are a new addition in our Broadway Market shop, along side with other designer and vintage jewellery. We have a big variety of her headbands, ranging in colour, size and price, all of them a perfect gift for Christmas!

BUTLER & WILSON

Big chunky gold brooch by London based jewellery brand Butler & Wilson. Founded in 1972, when the house opened their first shop on Fulham Road, the brand has become one of the biggest names within fashion jewellry and have since opened several shops, including one on Sunset Boulevard in California.
This late 80's brooch comes with its original box and is not only a statement piece but also a rarity and an investment piece!

GIVENCHY

Big fluted gold necklace by the french fashion house Givenchy. A typical example of the brands fine jewellery during the late 70's to the early 80's, this necklace can be adjusted in size and worn just above the collarbone or as a choker.
Also a unique necklace, perfect as a Christmas gift, and a perfect opportunity to get a great piece of fashion history!

TWO FAVORITES!

JIL SANDER

Since 2005 Raf Simons has been the creative director for the minimalist fashion house of Jil Sander, which was founded by Heidemarie Jiline 'Jil' Sander in the late 60's. Directing both the mens and womens wear, Simons has through out the years delivered several successful and critically aclaimed collections.

This electric blue nylon trench coat is from this years Spring Summer collection for men, which was a colourful collection with garments in fantastically bright cerulean blue ,orange, pink and yellow, which  worked perfect with the brand’s signature simplicity. In store now, along with other amazing Raf Simons pieces from both Jil Sander and his own label!

PETER PILOTTO

This draped printed silk jersey dress, made by the design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos (an ex-Vivienne Westwood designer) is from the Autumn-Winter collection of 2009-2010 which was the brands second collection they showed at London Fashion Week.
Overall, the collection consisted of colorful and dramatic prints, much like the dress we have for sale, which the design duo made based around the big bang theory. The dress in itself is a beautifully cut dress with vibrant colours that we at Strut think would suit perfectly for New Years or a Christmas party!

New Magazines and Books!

As well as amazing vintage and designer clothing we also stock a number of different magazines from late nineties Dazed and Confused to new magazines like Gagarage, Luela and Hero!
Our stock of books and magazines is constantly updated, so that there is always something new every time you visit the shop!
Here is a short introduction to a few of our favorite books and magazines that we have in store now!

STEVEN MEISEL
Four Days in LA: The Versace Pictures

In 2001 Steven Meisel had his first-ever gallery presentation in Europe, where he presented a number of large-format photographs at the infamous White Cube gallery in Hoxton, London. The images are from the acclaimed advertising campaign he had recently made for the Italian fashion house Versace, which was shot in just four days in LA. The campaign  feature supermodels such as Amber Valetta and Georgina Grenville as virtually identical women with their elegant frocks, dressed platinum hairstyles, full make-up, and huge rock-like jewels.

Posing demurely in their anonymous interior-decorated homes, like their pampered pets, they appear perfectly tamed, preened and manicured.

JUERGEN TELLER
MARC JACOBS: Advertising 1998-2009

This thick book of almost six hundred pages show the close relationship of fashion designer Marc Jacobs and photographer Juergen Teller, for more than a decade Mr. Teller has worked with Marc Jacobs on the advertising campaigns  for both the brands womenswear, menswear, diffusion lines, fragrances and more.
Teller's idiosyncratic visual style and use of unusual models has been instrumental in establishing what has become one of the preeminent fashion brands of our times. Reflecting the intelligence and individuality of the Marc Jacobs brand, the models have included Sofia Coppola, Charlotte Rampling, Meg White, Kim Gordon, Victoria Beckham and more.

DOUBLE

This is the 22nd issue of the Paris based magazine Double. Consisting of some conceptual photography it covers fashion and art with this issue including work from photographers such as Viviane Sassen and artists like Peter Philips. "Blog on Paper", which is the title of this issue, is the second issue of "double" we have stocked, and is one of our favorite magazines here at Strut!

GARAGE

The debut issue of Garage Magazine has plenty to offer with articles focusing on both fashion and art values. Created by the former editor of POP Magazine Dasha Zhukova, the magazine was released in August earlier this year and came with three different exclusive covers by artists Damien Hirst, Richard Prince, Nick Knight and Dinos Champman. We still have a few of the Richard Prince and Damien Hirst issues left in the shop so hurry up and pick up your copy today!

HERO

A fairly new London based fashion magazine, which comes out twice a year, features the faces of tomorrow's fashion, the models and designers who will be shaping the campaigns and catwalks across the next season.  Contributors include Andrew Davis, Robbie Spencer, Doug Inglish, Andreas Larsson, Bruno Staub, Stevie Westgart and more.
